A considered approach to simulated driving

Avanti exists to create driving simulators as complete, resolved objects.

We believe a driving simulator should be designed and built with the same care, precision and intent as the machines it seeks to simulate.

The M1 is the first expression of that belief.

The M1.

The Avanti M1 is a fully integrated driving simulator system, conceived and built with the objective of disappearing when in use.

To that end, we were guided by the following four objectives when designing and building the M1:

Comfort

The simulator should support the driver without demanding attention from the body. Every contact point, control position and adjustment is considered to create a natural driving position that remains comfortable over extended use.

Rigidity

The structure should disappear between the driver and the controls. Steering, braking and shifting forces are transmitted without unwanted flex or movement, preserving the immediacy of every input and the fidelity of every response.

Silence

The simulator should contribute nothing to the soundscape of the drive. Structure, materials, cooling and component integration are designed to minimise creaks, vibration and mechanical noise.

Restraint

From the drivers seat, the only hardware in the drivers field of view should be control objects. The surrounding framework should recede from view wherever possible.

Viewed from the outside, the simulator should compliment a space, not dominate it.
